I’m still missing Trump.
Of course, I don't mean Trump's latest version.
That inaction during 187 minutes ...
A President of the States could not look away.
Institutions are sacred.
I still don’t understand why he is destroying his legacy like this.
Nevertheless, we have similar experiences in Spain.
The former King Juan Carlos I -now called Emeritus King- had earned 65 million euros in cash.
Besides, he had a German mistress.
And also the former President of Catalonia, one of the states of Spain, Jordi Pujol. He and his family, they are all prosecuted for alleged corruption.
In any case, what Trump did -or did not do- is morally serious.
He was the President of the United States of America.
At the beginning, I liked him.
He was politically incorrect.
He started from scratch.
He had no political experience.
He won against everyone.
Everybody supported Hillary Clinton.
She had to be the first woman to become President of the USA.
He had the support of the media, the Hollywood star system and the big techs, among others.
Trump was alone.
He even won the primaries against some emergent figures within the Republican Party -like Marco Rubio- or long-standing members like the Bush family.
He was not a bad President.
In fact, He was the most forceful President since Franklin D. Roosevelt.
And I am not comparing both.
But Trump used to take the bull by the horns.
Obama, for example, won the Nobel Peace Price in 2009 for doing nothing. He had just arrived at the White House...
Trump met the leader of North Korea.
At the end, he lost for the Covid-19 pandemic.
He wrongly underestimated the effects.
No government on earth was ready.
Neither the British government nor the EU.
Even under these circumstancies, he had 74 millions votes.
Seven million more compared to the 2016 election (62 millions).
The problem was that all who were against him voted for Biden.
I don’t trust Biden.
He looks fragile.
He doesn't look like a world leader.
I think the Ukraine war would be different with Trump in the White House.
He had a better relation with Vladimir Putin.
I recall Biden saying that Putin was a “killer” before a summit took place.
Sometimes, when he I see him step off Air Force One I am afraid he could fall and hurt himself badly.
the alternative - portrayed by Kamala Harris - is not trustworthy either.
In short, I'm still missing Trump. He is the one.
